	About the NISSAN SENTRA The Nissan Sentra is series of compact and sub-compact cars manufactured since 1982. The first two generations of the Sentra, until 1986 and 1990, were available in several body styles including 2 and 4-door sedan, 3 and 5-door hatchback, and coupe. The third and fourth generations of the Sentra, until 1994 and 1999, lost most of the body style options of the previous two generations. The third generation was a 2-door coupe or a 4-door sedan while the fourth and all subsequent generations were 4-door sedans. The fifth generation was the first compact rather than subcompact Sentra. This generation came with a 1.8, 2.0 or 2.5 liter inline-4 engine with a 4-speed automatic or a 5 or 6-speed manual transmission. The current generation of the Sentra began in 2007. It is available with a 2.0 liter inline-4 engine with a 6-speed manual or continuously variable transmission.
